The 2026 Festival ,,Exactly” stands as a powerful testament to the strength of connection, bringing together a vibrant mosaic of professionals, experts, and curious minds. This year's gathering transcends traditional boundaries, creating a dynamic space where people from all walks of life converge to discuss, share, and inspire one another. We were invited as participants to show our love of yarn and share the knitting art with people. 

At the heart of the festival are the stage discussions, where leading voices explore a wide spectrum of pressing topics, emerging trends, and innovative ideas. These panels foster deep conversations, encouraging attendees to look at familiar challenges through fresh, multidisciplinary lenses.

Hands-On Creativity - Arm knitting workshop for Everyone

While the main stages spark intellectual curiosity, the festival grounds pulse with hands-on energy. Between discussions, visitors dive into a rich variety of creative activities and workshops. Arm knitting workshops were led by us. Hundreds of people got a free workshop of hand knitting, finger crocheting and experienced cotton tubular yarn.

 We were thrilled to be invited as part of this year's lineup to host free, open-access workshops for everyone. New experience with tube yarn and hand knitting. A possibility to test giant needles and hooks. 

Designed for all skill levels, these interactive sessions embody the true spirit of the festival: that community is built and strengthened through shared creation and learning.

The Magic Returns: "Knit Happens" at MO Museum 2026

Art and fiber crafts returned to the MO Museum this year, and "Knit Happens"proved to be even more extraordinary and inspiring than ever before!

Building on past traditions, this year’s gathering expanded far beyond the knitting community, evolving into a massive, all-encompassing celebration of textile arts that brought together a wonderfully diverse crowd of creators. Such as: Knitters, Crocheters, Textile Crafts, Spinners, Weavers, Tufters! From Youngest to Oldest - From Smallest to Biggest! Inspirational warm community event. We are proud to be a part of this event.

This year, the museum's striking modern spaces buzzed with an even greater variety of craft enthusiasts. The event welcomed:

• Knitters and Crocheters: Working side-by-side, sharing stitch patterns, and creating intricate textures.

• Spinners: Showcasing the mesmerizing traditional craft of turning raw fiber into yarn right before our eyes.

• Tufters: Showing a variety of colors, textures, fibers and yarns that can be tufted to a rug.

• Textile lovers: stitching the garments, cross stitching the paintings, even weaving tapestry and wall art. 

• Yarn Lovers of All Kinds: Anyone who simply shares a deep passion for the warmth, color, and feel of quality fibers.

From Beginners to Master knitters - Let’s DIY and learn together!

What made this year’s "Knit Happens" truly special was the incredible sense of inclusivity and generational connection. Under one roof, you could find:

• All Experience Levels: Complete beginners holding their first needles or hooks with enthusiastic curiosity, learning alongside seasoned masters crafting complex garments.

• All Ages: From the youngest crafting enthusiasts discovering the joy of handmade art to the oldest, most experienced makers passing down invaluable wisdom and stories.

Despite coming from different backgrounds and skill levels, every single attendee arrived with the exact same purpose: to share in a powerful sense of community, warmth, and a mutual love for yarn.

Stepping into the museum alongside a highly creative community of makers transforms a traditional craft into cultural celebration of yarns. We invite you to celebrate knitting together! As every year we are participating in this community event to relax, to connect and get inspired. 

Hundreds of Knitters, Endless Textures and Yarns

One of the most breathtaking aspects of "Knit Happens" is the sheer scale of creativity gathered in one place. Imagine walking into a stunning architectural venue and finding hundreds of knitters working side-by-side.

• A Tapestry of Yarns: Every participant brings their own unique vision, resulting in a sea of diversity—from thick, chunky wools and luxurious merino blends to delicate hand-dyed yarns and vibrant cotton tubes.

Yarn bombing City event - Knitted Clothing for Sculptures 

Year of 2024

Our work is surrounded by creativity. It is not only yarn production, we believe that it is really important to have inspiration, to show people our passion and invite them to knit together.  Medically proved that knitting is a meditation. It helps us to unravel our minds, to run for a moment from work, troubles and social media. So we participate at knitting events, most often voluntary, such as workshops for elders, children or disabled people. This time it was a city event - to make the city sculptures speak on Christmas timing. 

The project was very challenging. We had to create knitted clothing for seven sculptures: 

A knitted mermaid tail for Mermaid sculpture

For this statement piece we used chunky merino wool. We splitted wool by hands to thinner yarn and knitted by fingers. We wore fisherman's boots to dress her up because she is literally in the water. And her tail got warm clothing for cold winter nights. 

Dress a giant Angel sculpture with knitted angel wings

Angel sculpture were also created from chunky merino wool yarn, combining arm knitting and finger knitting techniques, finished with the hooks. This sculpture is really high, we had to use a lifting machine to reach this Angel. And here it was, a flying Christmas Angel with its new knitted wings. 

Create a dress for Duchess Barbora sculpture

Well Barbora, our princess. We wanted her to have an exclusive knitted dress. So Velvet tube yarn was used. Velvet has this expensive look and feeling when you touch it. Very luxury yarn. We knitted a red dress with poufy sleeves and Barbora felt life again. 

Knit a Christmas gift bag for lantern man sculpture

Lantern man sculpture - he brings a light at night and shows the way. It is a reminder of the old city in ancient times when lantern man existed as a profession. We created a chunky knit bag so he could bring gifts for everyone together with the light. 

Knit a Giant scarf for our Gediminas sculpture

Grand Duke Gediminas got a stylish chunky knit scarf and suddenly looked alive, coming back again to run the city. 

Create a Giant knitted chunky hat for Cat sculpture

One of my favorites - Giant Christmas hat for a cat. Did you know that a cat's head is 3 meters (120 inches)  in diameter? The hat was created from Chunky Tube yarn. Knitted by hands using arm knitting technique and put on metal carcass to hold the shape. 35 kg (80 pounds) were used to create this piece. 

Knitted sledge for Gorilla sculpture

5 days - almost two kilometers (2200 yards) and 60 kg (130 lb) of chunky tube yarn and we got extreme size sledges. A wooden carcass was used to put the knitting and to get the sledges shape. White knitted icicles surround the top so it looks snowy even on days when we do not have snow. 

Now when we read, everything comes back to the memory and  it sounds like we knitted Christmas of 2024!
